Ma
Mother Nature, spiritually speaking.
An Umbrella for Day
Night is an umbrella for Day; the Sun showers fire.
Wednesday, March 18, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Order up. Sunshine divine on the way for breakfast.
If you've ever dove deep into a pool of water and kept your eyes open as you surfaced, you have a great metaphor to match a sunrise.
We surface into the air; we rise into the light.
Everyday.
In fact, that's what makes a day: We fill with light till noon, then submerge into the dark until the next sunrise.
Night is an umbrella for Day; the Sun showers fire.
...
Something new in today's sunrise...
A group of grackles flew by in formation to announce the change.
Do you know about grackles? They look like small crows who just flew through a rainbow. Wide-eyed in technicolor.
So... what's new with today?
Something good is the sense of it.
Let's keep it something to wonder about until it makes itself clear.
A short entry. Some mornings just want daydreams to sit and consider the sky.
Sunrise is a masterful painter when you view it right.
As always, thank you for reading. Take care, recognize something good when it shows, and make a wonderful day.

Do You Think The Earth Thinks?
I know She does.
Tuesday, March 17, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
It's a ridiculous metaphor, though one that sticks every year: Snow like scrubbing bubbles to wash away last year's mess.
Last night heavy rains cleared away what's left of most of the snow. The stage is cleaned and ready for Spring's Green Grow Show.
Do you ever consider such things? Your ancestors did. The answers to so many of your 'whys' are found in such considerations.
We learn from The Earth how best to live in The World. Scrubbing bubbles on kitchen counters to soak away the mess to make a clean space to cook again. Snow to prep the stage for Spring's growing ways.
When we pay attention to the ways Nature helps herself, we learn how to help ourselves.
A curious daydreamer sat by a hillside watching rocks roll down a hill invented the wheel.
This consideration, that we do best when we take what lessons The Earth has to show us and apply them to our own lives, is the basis of Scientific thought.
Humanity views how Mother Nature works and applies the reflection to our own lives to improve our experience living here.
Rain and wind feed her body like food and drink sustain us.
But do you think The Earth thinks? Do you think She feels?
You know your house cat and family dog do. What about our planet?
I know She does.
The Earth, like all of us, is responsive to touch.
I consider Her the greatest of all mothers and treat her as such.
It's a simple thing to do. Let her know She's not taken for granted. Work with Her and not in spite of Her. And every once in awhile let Her know She's Beautiful.
The ways to treat anyone we love are the ways to best care for The World.
Your whole existence depends on Her well-being. A thank you now and then is definitely in order.
Dawn. Lights on. Thanks World for a place to shine.
Take care everyone and make a wonderful day.

For Your Witness
2026.03.15 The World is a great orchestrated dance for your witness.
Sunday, March 15, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Welcome back. O/
Pink lavender covers a band of evergreens to contour line the horizon in the northwestern sky.
We wake; we rise. Our days and lives are bookended in sleep.
Poetic, philosophic, just a poet's journal to announce the sunrise and share words with you that perhaps you forgot or were never told.
"Go. Go. Go! Do. Do. Do! Achieve!"
- So shouts so often The Modern World.
But where are you going? What are you doing? Who are you achieving for?
Who are you? What are your dreams for?
At some point, and I hope it's early on in life, you pause and consider what life is worth to you.
Unfortunately, so lately, for so many of us that moment occurs late in your life or after some tragedy.
I consider it with every sunrise here.
Maybe you'll join me everyday. The world could use more considerate people.
In fact, the world won't survive unless it gets some more considerate people.
Your life isn't worth anything more than survival and distraction if you never stop and consider its value once and awhile.
There's more to life than fireworks and faster.
There's Beauty in the world when you're brave enough to notice it... to be it.
If all you see when you see a tree is a heap of molecules, you're missing and forgetting the choreography of those molecules.
Those atoms shake! Those quarks quake! What makes quantum anything dance is my business. Noticing it is your way to a fuller, richer, more Beautiful life.
The World is a great orchestrated dance for your witness.
Recognize it, take care, and make a wonderful day.

How's Your View?
There's more to Life than can fit on a screen.
Monday, March 09, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Pink band of mist lines the horizon line of evergreens, gives way to a grey soon to be blue sky.
How's your view?
Winter sets the stage for Spring.
Do you consider Nature much?
You should. She's your house and your body.
Nature works in certain ways. Science does its best to enumerate her but leaves out adjectives, and so is incomplete.
Why every bird sings a different song at every new dawn, why dogs are inspired to play, why laughter feels so good, are all in my neck of the woods to make language for.
Poet-philosopher... just a guy who loves to write with some observations and cares to share with a world that could really use remembering them.
Thanks for reading. O/
There's more to Life than can fit on a screen.
A short entry to remind you you're made of the same stuff as the sky.
Consider it, how it works, how you work, take care, and make a wonderful day.

Before the Start of the Show
Clocks jumped ahead one hour to remind us of the agreeable nature of Time.
Sunday, March 08, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Welcome back. O/
Clocks jumped ahead one hour to remind us of the agreeable nature of Time.
Not that you always get along with what the time is, but that Time itself, how we measure it, is something we all agree upon.
The Sun rises and sets. Numbers are only a human convention so we can better discuss what the light means to us when we witness it.
Deep thoughts and dreams first thing in the morning. Sentences to wonder about. The Sun rose; wonder fell.
Dawn. There's more Spring than Winter in this morning's sunlight.
Adjectives ride every ray: hopeful, encouraging, inspiring, nourishing... light alive for breakfast. Spring!
Mother Nature's grow-show is about to begin.
That's the feel of today's sunrise, anticipation in the theatre before the start of the show.
Snow drips to splash drops off every rooftop into gutters around the town.
...
How's the sound of your prose, Dear Writers?
Do you ever consider it?
The rhythm of each sentence is as important for a story's success as are your word choices.
When you read through your writing and something doesn't sound or feel right, that's the wrong note in a symphony. Get it in tune or get it gone.
Some helpful words to my prose and essay writing friends from your friendly neighborhood poet. O/
Lyricism matters at least as much to the voice in our heads as we read as it does to our ears.
My thoughts and work still focus on Colore.
Back to them.
Take care and make a wonderful day.

Dawn and Something New
Do you think fish know they're soaking wet?
Sunday, March 01, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
New month, new tag,
What's in the bag?
Wonder, of course.
Glad you're here.
On with our show...
...
So many mornings like this... this journal at sunrise.
Every entry has two things in common: Dawn and Something New.
Fire is in a state of perpetual change.
The Sun always makes everything new.
Every turn of the sphere brings a new batch of light here.
Dawn's first rays... what will you do with today's new batch of fire?
You see, wonder is always available to be part of your consideration.
We swim in an ocean of fire and call it light.
Do you think fish know they're soaking wet?
There is so much more to dream about, to know, to do, to make new.
It's why wonder is so important... like The Sun's fire it makes everything new by coloring The World in a new light.
Somedays there's themes. Today is one word: New. It wants to be in every sentence.
Wonder what that's all about?
Take care, thank you for reading, and make a wonderful day.

A New Stew
How's it taste? What's the texture? What flavor is today's sunrise?
Saturday, February 28, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
What does today want to say?
That's the first thought after the date and first line every morning.
Like The World spins around for the same reason a cook stirs the stew, everyday the ingredients of Life come together to make it new.
Everyday is a new stew of light.
How's it taste? What's the texture? What flavor is today's sunrise?
Really.
Because they're all different.
The stories we choose to ingest and share determine our experience.
So what are you reading, what are you listening to? How do you take your light?
Do you share it well? Does it support your idea of a good Life?
The stories available to us in our thoughts exemplify what we allow to be possible in our lives.
I was going to go into the ridiculous topic of the rift between Science and Religion, but dawn showed a new light and earned my attention.
Stories and their ways rule The World. The way of Story is The Divine Algorithm of Life. Science and all other Faiths are under its umbrella.
Many mornings want to discuss it.
This morning wants to relax and enjoy the view of a new day.
As always, thanks for reading, take care, and make a wonderful day.

On Words and Birds
If birds don't interest you in the slightest, please charter a rocketship and go destroy some other planet.
Friday, February 27, 2026
Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way.
Context.
Do the words you say mean what the words you mean say?
Are you understood?
Hello again, btw. O/
...
There's one rule when it comes to writing and speaking and that is: To be clear.
A focus on clarity of expression in Art and Life is the best gauge of success in communication.
We have a sentiment, the reaction causes a dream, we shape the dream with words to form an idea, we share our idea with our body to give The World.
Basic Being Human 101.
The point in the process where dreams get words to become thoughts is the focus and livelihood of Poets.
The success of Poetry is foundational to the success of humanity.
Imagine a World without language and then agree with me.
It's why Poets often get the reputation of being lost in daydreams; we're at work. We're circumspecting the dreams themselves to see what words serve them best.
Most people have word choice on a kind of auto-pilot. This is a good thing.
Most of the time.
There are aspects to your Life you wish to change. There's only one way to do that: Use new language.
Every word is a storehouse of potential experience.
If your words aren't meaning all they could, they're not meaning all they should.
Check your words; change your life.
...
Not a change of subject, a reminder this is a morning journal... The songbirds arrived! The first true sign of Spring in the air this morning.
Birds will always be the most accurate meteorologists and calendars. They're survival depends on it.
This morning, days after a blizzard, the arrival of songbirds to signal Spring. Time to start the green grow show.
If birds don't interest you in the slightest, please charter a rocketship and go destroy some other planet.
Surely, you must at least think an eagle in flight is worth some consideration.
Songbirds at sunrise! Spring!
Take care and make a wonderful day.
