Good morning, Twfw. O/

Sunrise about an hour away. Glad you found me. Call it a win (and a pun) for freedom.

Sure there's some greed and a lust for profits, but the reason The Internet is such a dark Tower of Babel mess at the moment is oversight.

Language isn't data. It's what makes data possible.

Categorizing and classifying its distribution limits language and therefore limits humanity.

Science is all about systems. They're not the right lens to examine and diagnose the issue.

Metaphor is needed.

To use a common myth to show what's happening: Having algorithms in charge of information dispersal instead of humans is surrendering control to The Empire in Star Wars.

Really.

Metaphorically that's what's going on in America right now.

Really.

People are surrendering their freedom to corporate machines.

Enthusiasm with new technology put the cart before the horse.

A discussion on the ethical concerns of AI in our Country needs to be at the top of our list in Government priorities because its management is the reason for our unease at this time.

Machines have a healthy place in our lives, but it's not at the top. Reference material is the best use for an algorithm. There's no chance for growth with computers at the wheel.

Life, and so Language, is a living thing.

Current News cycles continue to show the same tragic pictures because empathy holds no value to an algorithm.

We keep reading and watching because it's all we're served. Algorithms keep serving us because it's all we consume. Are News Cycles are stuck in an algorithmic time loop.

If people were the sole gatekeepers for information the bombardment of negative News imagery would've ended long ago. Frankly, the state of The Modern American Media is inhumane: Literally.

News is for people, not data centers.

The greatest gift to being alive is the opportunity to grow and change in new ways.

Growth and change don't register for an algorithm until they're recorded. So long as machines treat information like a popularity contest access to growth and change will be difficult to find.

Can you read me yet? O/

It's a point I make for all of us.

Duck dodging algorithms will only last so long. Sooner or later an interested caring American will find Wonder Fell and share it.

Which will rank it up in the machine's value ratings and more people will be able to see it... at all.

Is it you, Dear Reader? Are you the click and share that helps save The Internet and The Modern Media?

To extend the metaphor: Will you join me in helping to bring down The Empire?

Really.

Two years of daily pertinent posts all over the most popular online spaces and not a single comment or share for this journal because the author refuses to lessen the power of my words to suit a machine.

My apologies, you don't get a lightsaber: But you do get a click and share option.

Nothing is for sale here; that's the point.
Words are not commodities; they're what make us human.

So, can you read me yet? O/

If so let someone know. Free speech is on the line online. Take a step towards keeping it free.

Share some Wonder. O/

Congratulations, again, for reading.
