Ways to Sing

A sign in my sixth grade classroom:

"Today is the first day of the rest of your life."

Something we all have in common.

Perhaps you're not a shadow-banned algorithm dodging for the good of humanity American Poet, but there are experiences we share.

The sunrise, for example.

Life is a continuous song with a constantly updating audience. Some are critics, others fans. My favorite kinds of people are Artists; we sing along.

There's lots of ways to sing with Life.

Dance like a tree in the wind.

Build anything at all like a seed grows to bloom.

Make a song with your breath to move others to feel, to change, to grow like the breeze carries dandelion parachutes to place beauty in new spaces.

Like Nature makes a forest, we build Nations.

The ways of The World are the ways of good living.

The same way sunlight shapes each tree makes every picture travelling through Wi-Fi beams possible.

Starlight is computer code from The Universe for an Operating System called: Life.

Put that Poetry in your Science pipe and smoke some wonder.
