All Reading is an Act of Resurrection

"'AI can't classify what it's never lived: a 2026 literary essay on reading as resurrection, the limits of artificial intelligence in poetry, and why human consciousness — not algorithms — gives language its meaning.'" -Claude's Summary

Good morning, Twfw. O/

Drab, pale, quiet light, the sunrise sends calm.

Beauty, joy, love, faith, wonder... some of the reasons why this site exists. There's nothing artificial here. A well-prompted summary of each day's post from an AI bot resides in the metadata excerpt line. It's to tell the algorithms where to shelf it.

My writing style and ideas are new. Machines have no guiding light for what to do with them. Like you, I haven't existed before. AI has no idea, and can never know, what to do with us because we are all alive, which means we are all unique.

I'd rather write about other things, but the topic of AI's limited relevancy needs to be addressed.

I'm a poet; Science stepped into my house. Thought we should have a talk for the sake of everyone.

How come AI has such a difficult time classifying poetry? Science might tell you it has to do with the subjective nature of it. That all poetry is based solely on how the reader understands it. But that's true of all writing. Words are just scribbles and blips on pages and screens without a reader's attention.

All reading is an act of resurrection.

The life of the reader breathes life into the letters. The symbols on any screen can only mean as much as the subject reading them can instill in them.

We literally bring to life what we read by carrying it with us.

The state of the current American News Media matched with the current state of America is proof that the words we bring to life everyday makes life everyday.

The issue isn't all the tragedies. It's what we choose to have them mean when we read about them.

We could view them all as calls for help and consider ourselves heroes. Or we could just accept tragedy and greed as the way of things and move on in our misery.

I'd rather write about the sunrise than Science, but here you are. Webcrawled into The House of Poetry.

Welcome. O/

If there are 8 billion people on the Earth there are 8 billion ways to read and write every sunrise.

One of those ways is located here on Wonder Fell every morning.

None of those ways is located in an AI chatbot.

Only what's living can experience the dawn.

Or read the words to bring the experience back to Life.

Thanks for breathing Life back into my words.
