AI is Great

But would you give a child a chainsaw?

Wednesday, June 10, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

Still going, pen flowing, words with the sunrise.

Some mornings the sky is orange fire thinking about pink. Others keep the bedsheet of clouds on and stay in an overcast bed. Sometimes a true blue hue is all the sky will do.

Orange and pink negotiate the horizon this morning. Sparrows and wrens announce the dawn with choir songs.

Hundreds of sunrises shared now in an row. There's wonder in everyone.

The robins and sparrows negotiate life in the trees with chatter. Parliament is in session in the backyard oak.

The same driving force that has every winged one of them up building nests and gathering food drives every car in the highway to work, to school, to home.

Why? The question visits the past few mornings. We're so scientifically sure of ourselves; the world is flat. There's hubris in every geometric proof where wonder should be.

Ethics crept into the category called arbitrary the past few decades. Our politics, science, and art are evidence of the fact.

Common decency left with political decorum and scientific foresight.

AI is great. But would you give a child a chainsaw?

People at present are gaining success that haven't earned it. At some point balance has to be restored. Morality, and not money or scientific advancement, rules history. Grok would agree. Have you asked?

America at present is living an Ancient Greek Tragedy. It's all been written before. Claude would tell you, if you asked.

There is a moral way to life that transcends numbers. Stories show it best. It's why most graduates of M.I.T. are fans of Star Wars: Right and Wrong exist as certain, perhaps even more so, than Gravity.

The nicest thing about being nice is it feels nice. You are paid immediately.

What's up with that?

...

Some thoughts on Wonder Fell itself...

I could sit and pen a poem every sunrise, but is it best?

Using a journal as a poetic form calls for a more vernacular means of expression.

It's more accessible.

Regardless of how successful my formally published works do, Wonder Fell will always be free.

I hope it encourages others to share words and works of wonder, too.

Our lives can only be as good as the stories we surround ourselves with.

Thanks for reading and sharing.
