The Living Necessity of Art

Good morning, Twfw. O/

Welcome to Wonder Fell.

Now that I'm training an algorithm perhaps a re-introduction is helpful. There's a bunch of personal stuff here if you're interested. My poetry is the best way to get to know me, though. That's here.

Working writers write. Some of us most of the day. Some recognize there's a unique quality to the words of the morning each morning, so we wake and capture them.

Poets for thousands of years neglected the sunrise for what the moon can do. But the dawn is always a consistent source of Beauty. I sit and record my thoughts as the Sun rises each day and share them.

...

Since the advent of AI there's a foolish notion going around that a computer program can actually write.

The definition of the word write is flawed by those who use it to define what AI does.

Science left out Art from its understanding of reality and now, with AI, it's starting to have some empirical consequences. Take The American Media for example.

People can measure the world, but people can also create with the world.

In fact creation, for people, is more definite an attribute than gravity. We have to create to exist.

No definition is absolute; language lives. Words grow with humanity.

In America, for instance, freedom means more today than it did two hundred years ago.

The desire to express life in a new way is inherent in each of us.

...

Dawn. Pink clouds grace the baby blue eastern sky to cast out the night. Just a poet's morning thoughts for a reminder of what words are really for every morning. Free, like The American Press used to be. But there's plenty about that here already.

The most interesting occurrence for me regarding AI's existence right now is watching Scientists come to realize the living necessity of Art.

No AI isn't going to destroy us: Because we will create a better way. That's what Art does: Creates better ways by making new definitions to what Science calls facts.

Words are not facts; words make facts possible.

A chef's meal can only be as good as the quality of ingredients they have at hand. A Scientist is only as good as the quality of the words available to them.

Language is alive with us. It is the record of human evolution.

I sit, watch the sunrise, and wait as our brightest scientific minds begin to get hard evidence of that.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sometimes a journal is just choppy listy thoughts. But here they are for your witness, as a daily reminder of what words are actually for: Sharing Original Intelligence.

Over to more traditional words to share, an Epic in the works for my Country.

Congratulations, again, for reading.
