Good morning, Twfw. O/

Cloudy. A subdued sunrise. Still sensational in its subtlety.

Change is in the colors the clouds filter down.

A note on the look of the site. In the spirit of "Words are enough," emoji pics now fill the space for the expected image to start each post.

Emoji are picture words, a kind of universal sign language using signs.

On with the show...

...

The idea is always choosing the best arrangement of words to express yourself. The art of word choice and placement is my profession.

The sound of a word, a sentence, a paragraph, is a measure of their success.

Like the tone of our speaking voices the sound of who a writer is can come through their written words too.

Just like with speech learning to express ourselves well through writing develops with practice. This fact is why the social internet looks and reads the way it does right now.

Writing isn't speaking, though. Communication through text only is new to humanity, more time and consideration can be in every exchange.

And so it should.

Breath is ephemeral; text lasts.

But a written word is property of the writer as much as speech belongs to the speaker. This fact goes forgotten and is the cause of all the major issues in the modern world.

If you wouldn't speak it to someone's face, don't text it to them. The same consequences apply to both.

In fact a text is even more powerful because it can be reread and shared.

If you troll one person with one text or post, you're a troll to the world. Own your words; you're responsible and culpable for everything you write.

Like shouting disruptive words in a calm crowded room, a troll's troll always spoils their own peace as well. It always comes back... just like speech.

But a troll sent in the form of text has the ability to return to the troll every time it's read.

Ancient cultures called it karma. Today we call it: A return on investment.

Invest your words in what lifts, grows, and furthers Life. Spread good news online and every time it's read good news comes back to you.

This is not hocus-pocus; it's how language works.

Shout in someone's face and it's returned. Shout online and it does come back to you... every time it's read.

Own your words or they'll own you.

By the way, this also applies to News Journalists. Of course reporting on current events is important work: But if our words lack hope, so do we.

Thanks for reading. <– (How's that gratitude for me?)
