You Pants The Plot

Good morning, Twfw. O/
Robins sing the rhythm guitar part while a duet of black-capped chickadees cover the melody to announce the dawn.
Yesterday I removed the work-in-progress Epic Colore from Wonder Fell.
No worries. It's still going strong.
A work of the size and scope of it requires its own space.
I'll provide links on Wonder Fell once Colore's new home is set-up, running, and aesthetically presentable.
As Wonder Fell becomes more and more a place for Artists to gather alone, posts concerning the creation of The American Epic still have a welcomed place here.
I decided to treat Story, The Novel specifically, as a poetic form. It's a simpler way for this poet's brain to work.
The form and rhythm of a piece of writing, from a sentence to a thousand page tome, are a major part of the work's success.
Some things poets consider that most novelists don't.
Musicians do something called: Playing by ear. Writers call the same process: Pantsing, as in... writing by the seat of your pants.
Really, it's technical jargon in the professional world of writers. Two schools: The Pantsers and The Plotters.
Decades of experience shows the most successful way to go about writing anything is to have a general idea of the form (plot) and color it in (pants).
You pants the plot.
Harmony at last in The Writing World.
We tell ourselves the story idea, or write it down.
And then we Pants! 💃...👖
Thoughts on craft with industry jargon included this morning.
Language about what we love will always be the best use of the written word... of words at all.
Thanks for reading. Have that wonderful day already.
