Dawn. First light. Evergreen silhouettes whirl and whoosh in the Summer wind.

Here we go...

For two years I've posted every morning, some days marketing on major social media platforms; words of hope, goodwill, common sense, patriotism, and wonder.

Without a single reply or like from an American.

The term for the cause of the lack of response is: Shadowbanning.

Back in 2020 I posted an anti-racist poem on Medium.com. I had just gone into remission and was building an audience online for my work. I already had hundreds of followers and been published in one of the biggest publications on the site.

But after I published that certain poem (I won't mention it by name here as it makes American algorithms grumpy. It's the one with numbers in the title on my poetry page on this site.) Medium went dark.

Without so much as an email to say: "We don't believe this content is appropriate for our platform," I was banned from posting... while the monthly membership fees still drained from my bank account.

The main issue here isn't some platform thinking my material unsuitable for their site. The problem is what was fed the American algorithm.

The quick headline question is: Is An Algorithm Racist?

The proof on Wonder Fell is: If the corporation staff of content gatekeepers are, then yes, algorithms can be trained to be racist.

The even bigger headline is: Can Algorithms Infringe Our Freedom of Speech?

The answer after two years of daily posts on peace, love, and patriotism, without a single like or comment for Wonder Fell from an American is: An emphatic Yes.

So, if you're reading this close to the date it's published, I ask that if you have any American friends please let them know about Wonder Fell, because at the time of publishing this post, they can't see it... without your help.

What's happening with Wonder Fell is an example of a larger problem. Words that help and heal are being buried by language that shocks and makes quick money.

It's not just an American issue. It just happened here sooner.

My case is extreme, partly because I leveraged it to make the point. Being shadowbanned for one poem is a 'whatever' roll of the eyes for most people. Being shadowbanned for years of daily good spirited uplifting prose and poetry that my Country really needs to hear right now... is another thing entirely.

Let's be clear: America's inability to access Wonder Fell is not a software error, it's a human one. AI follows our patterns to use as its classification system. Some human actions are weighed heavier than others.

One act of dismissal done in the foul spirit of racism from a person in a certain heavier algorithmic position sets off a tidal wave of bigotry in the ways of business.

Bold claim proved true. O/

I've held off on word of mouth campaigns so the evidence could build up.

Most in my position would lose heart, maybe even give up their dream of sharing good words with the world.

But what I've done is give it some time to let the case be made and now I'm actively retraining algorithms. It requires arranging words in specific patterns to produce an intended result: A process also known as Poetry.

America will have easy access to my work soon, but I thought it would make the point stronger if some of my readers from other countries asked their American friends about me. Perhaps it would shed some light on why the US Media reads like a Babylonian train wreck.

Back to training the algorithms for me.

By the way, I show no pictures of myself here for reasons of the point being made, but as far as racism goes; I'm as white as a ghost. +he Ghos+ to be precise. O/
