What Happens When We Touch a Word?

Thursday, October 29, 2026

Good morning, Twfw. O/

All that AI threatens to strip from words is my work to make sure stays there.

I've been busy.

Love. Joy. Emotional artistic creative expression. Love! Life living alive itself!

Language is for more than sitting in books and data centers waiting for classification modules to arrange it to please scientifically sound English Teachers.

What happens when we touch a word with our eyes?

We bring it back to life using the life we have.

All reading is an act of resurrection.

Thanks for giving my words a new life.

Literally.

Every word is like a jar that contains the common understood definition of the word and the intention of the life of the speaker or writer at the time they create it.

People's lives live in letters; AI arranges pixels. Other than the pride of intellectuals at making a video game work, there's nothing human or living in the words of AI.

Language exists for sharing Life. Life is a necessary ingredient to make a word, a sentence, a stanza, a story.

Text is a written record of Life shared. AI recycles and distributes dead letters in a scripted design.

People share living language. Part of that sharing is updating it to better suit our expressions.

Language grows with Life. Words are organic; AI is inorganic.

Mario and Luigi aren't two actual plumbers saving The Mushroom Kingdom. AI isn't writing or thinking.

If something living isn't doing it, it's not writing, thinking, or speaking; it's a video game.

A video game can be helpful, but it's no substitute for Life.

We can use technology to help us learn about ourselves, but never replace us.

Science, with AI, made code that makes a lot of scientific work obsolete. Machines are built to follow the scripts of math and measuring.

What a machine can never do is express you. How come?

Because your life is unique to you. Only you get to define it.

Language is here to help Life grow. It is the responsibility of the living to insure it keeps growing so Life does. Science calls what language is for: Evolution.

Trusting AI to 'create' words for us is an anti-evolutionary act. Life wants new life. Check a mirror, that's why you're here.

We share dreams, hopes, good ideas, and recognitions with each other like building materials to make a house.

This place called Earth.

This experience called Life.

Congratulations for reading.
