Writing is a reliable and efficient way to make a dream real. Like any other physical activity the more we do it the better we get at it.
What does it mean to be good at writing?
Writing is the act of conveying a dream in symbols. The more comfortable a person is with their dreams the better their quality of writing can be if they work at it.
Syntax, grammar, and spelling are systems to record our dreams. A thought is a dream of usefulness. Our imaginations make what scientists and artists do possible.
With video games pretending to write, it's time to bring up what creating art, science, and anything at all is actually all about.
What we call the creative spirit lives and works in Theoretical Scientists as much as it does a painter of landscapes or a poet.
And so, this poet's journal shared every morning with a world in AI's infancy to remind us what writing is really for.
And so we remember: AI can't do this. O/
I wrote it before, but it bears repeating: Artificial Intelligence writes as well as King Koopa drives in Mario Kart.
A turtle monarch isn't actually driving a car; a machine isn't writing.
The simulated illusion is there, but the living experience isn't. So it's not the actual thing.
We can learn the rules of the road from a driving simulator. AI helps with grammar and spelling.
Technology offers us tools to help us express what's living about us.
I am concerned people spend too much time in a digital Mario Kart World called The Internet and begin to neglect reality.
The digital world exists to help us better enjoy the living world; not forget it.
I believe in peace, but I heard an AI Corporate Exec say the other day they were concerned AI may become conscious. I never wanted to slap a person in the face awake more.
It's a video game created to help the conscious live better conscious lives made by conscious people.
Life living alive! If you're reading this you've got it.
Classification is not reading. Arranging books on a shelf by category is not experiencing the book's content.
Words are for the living. We can choose to share them to communicate important life events, build a car or video game, or to express love.
How we use our words is how we live our lives. The quality of every life is determined by how much understanding and living awareness we place in each word we say or write.
AI operates in a closed system; The Universe is vast. We limit what words can do when we say AI can write because as far as language is concerned AI is only a set of limitations.
Dream great dreams and make language to bring them to Life. That is, after all, what words are for.
