We're a Nation of Words

Good morning, The Wonderfell Way.
The sunrise returns sooner everyday, as of late.
Despite what groundhogs and meteorologists say, more opportunity to have a shadow at all, and not if you see it, is the true indicator of when Spring arrives.
Hope all's well, Dear Reader.
On with our show...
The site changed! Wonderfell updated its wardrobe. A new poem, which is now the title for the anthology of poetry here arrived:
A recognition of some of poetry's short story in our Country, with reference to Frost's anthology of about a century ago for the title.
America's changed a lot since then. Our views drastically shifted on some very poetical topics.
The stations of Poetry: Love, Faith, Joy, and Common Decency; look and sound vastly New.
It was time for an update.
A Nation built on a living document is only as strong as its shared understanding of its words.
Poets and Literary Artists are the only means of medicine that ever heal Our Nation because we are a Nation of Words.
What we talk about everyday as a Country and how we talk about it defines all that we can be.
Right now with the state of our Press and Arts our words aren't meaning all they could, so they don't mean all they should.
It's our Poet's, our Artist's, our Storyteller's responsibility to keep what's best about us always in the forefront of our thoughts.
The Arts give us language to express what is best about us.
We haven't seen much, if any, of what's best about us for some time in words.
And so I write with the sunrise every morning as a civic duty to remind us what's wonderful about us.
Words are my Life, my Love, my Livelihood; just like The United States.
We have so much in common.
Would we rather have what Our Country means defined by the state of The Press at present or by our greatest and most compassionate Artists?
Would we rather an American Shakespeare help to define what freedom and justice for all means or our current Nightly News?
Time to start listening to our Artists and our hearts again, America.
Let's take care of each other by restating and redefining when and where it helps the meaning of the right of all of us to have Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness.
I'm not so usually so blatantly patriotic, but clarity is the most important aspect in Art and Life.
We're a Nation of Words and they're under fire, twisted and corrupted to serve a few.
I'm a poet; words are my Life and Livelihood. The trash perverting language, and so the very foundations of our Country, are messing also with my Love, my work, my Life.
And so I write.
We're so much better than we're allowing ourselves to be, America.
Remember what Freedom means to you, look around, see that's threatened right now, talk to each other about what you value, and make our wonderful day.
