The Font is You
It's not about living off grid sometimes; it's about living period.

Good morning, Twfw. O/
Analog sunrise. A new way.
There's something about pen and ink, something helpful lacking from pixels.
Just about all my daily writing goes on paper. The e-ink device I put to rest. An Archaic Slab (it's at the end of the post ⬇️) ought to be truly archaic.
Thanks for joining me. On with our show...
...
Sunrise. A slight hint of Autumn in the air.
It's a lot easier not to write about the trials and tribulations of ai when pen and ink are your medium of choice.
The joys of handwriting are more than preference.
The font is you.
There's not as much noise. Screens chatter; the page resides.
So many words of code and flashing lights are necessary to keep a monitor showing a picture. A sheet of paper is itself: solid, singular, ready.
There is much to gain from what the internet can do.
Though, there's a lot of good in what online can't do being forgot.
Quiet joys under sunlight free from screen light blips and cursor cues are integral parts of a well-lived life.
What online communications can do should add to our quality of life and not seek to outdo it or replace it.
It's not about living off grid sometimes; it's about living period.
My life is an artist's life. Neurodivergent is the new laughably long scientific word for it. It's a term for people who don't play nice for algorithms. Also known as: The people who feed algorithms new information. Visionaries and Dreamers are better words for what we are.
Our work is Art. Our life's work keeps human kind evolving because it keeps making us new.
Artists are in charge of updating the software of humanity called: Language.
So, to quote me: Keep it going.
If you prefer pen and ink please use it. Be comfortable. Our best dreams come from comfortable quiet places.
...
I believe it's time The Arts community in America spoke up. Science can only do so much. And its been doing it rather loudly the past decade or so.
There's more to life than adding it up; there's the joy of adding it up.
Live living art is medicine right now. Theatre, street side painters, concerts, handwritten letters and notes bring us back to what it means to be human.
We're not systems; we're living breathing stories.
There's more to a story than how it works; there's why it works at all.
Why is the realm of Artists. The most important question to answer to live well, to do anything well at all, and the one thing Science can't help us with.
So I write every morning new words of hope and intelligence to help fill the void in our lives made by devouring what machines are capable of.
I also keep it from algorithm's learning habits to make a point. I've been writing my whole life. A lot of unfortunate circumstances kept me from seeking publication, beating death twice to name a few. Vanity aside, I know there's a large audience for my work. Experience shows me that.
What I've done with Wonder Fell is develop irrefutable proof that machines should never be in charge of language distribution... because words are all about being human.
Catering my language to best serve and algorithm lessens the power of my words. So: No way that's happening. Freedom of expression means too much to me. It's literally my life and life's work.
Words are the life blood of humanity. They need constant updates to stay fresh, pertinent, and alive.
And so I write.
And so should you.
Congratulations, again, for reading.
