Replicas Wove
People make language; AI takes and weaves pictures.

Good morning, Twfw. O/
Just about dawn. Sometimes the weather isn't just for small talk. It's the thing to talk about. A heatwave over the Eastern half of the US just in time for our 250th anniversary celebrations. Fireworks at night weather. AC in the day weather.
Hope you're staying your cool self.
On with the show...
...
A poet's morning journal posted everyday as a public service announcement during this time of AI's infancy, so we don't lose ourselves to software algorithms.
What language is about and for will always be the work of poets.
It's why so many of us throughout history were so often locked up or censored. Language rules humanity; poets are the best at it.
The point and purpose of language is to use symbols to best convey our honest experience. When words are taken for granted, when we forget the immeasurable power in them, our systems start to collapse.
A word is not a tool, but the power that makes tools possible.
We walk, we breathe, our heart's beat, we make language.
Words on a screen represent the maker of the words. Our sentences are our selfies.
AI is like the chorus from an Ancient Greek Drama. Consensus and not correctness is its aim.
As long as we believe Life is evolving there is always a better way to understand, and so, say a thing.
Language grows with Life. Words are containers for what's alive. A software program can only ever share what was; AI is dead language.
Reference material for the living is its only use. Think of Grok as a friendly encyclopedia.
But use a LLM to craft an email and the recipient receives a note from the dead. Nobody in their right mind does business with dead people.
It's why AI images and videos seem off to us. They're lifeless made from dead language.
Every sentence an AI chatbot utters is a plastic flower. As impressive as it may be, it's never alive.
Life begets life; flowers make seeds.
AI is a gesture of language and not language itself.
People make language; AI takes and weaves pictures. Always an imitation, never an original, living, alive... that's AI: Replicas wove.
That said, I love AI; it makes reference librarians out of our cellphones.
Your favorite Librarian can't paint like Da Vinci, but she can show you what to look at to see how he did. You still have to do the work to make the painting real...
Over to The Epic. Thanks for reading.
