Good morning, Twfw. O/
Glad you found me.
How's your Internet experience?
Something's missing, huh?
Facts, facts, facts. Everything neatly shelved and classified to easily find.
If the experience of living always nicely fit into class boxes, online wouldn't feel lacking so often.
Life is worth our wonder. It often doesn't make sense on purpose... to give us purpose.
The World isn't a machine with bits and pieces to classify. The Earth is alive so we can be.
Life is missing online. Words are meant to express and share the experience of being alive.
Words devoid of breath, of ink, of purpose are dead somehow.
Life living alive belongs in each word always. It has to be there.
All reading is an act of resurrection. We bring every word back to life each time we read it. Literally.
The author's intent marries the reader's understanding and something new is made for Life.
A beautiful sentiment and true. But what's AI's intent?
Classification. Like lifeless librarians sort and shelve books... so go the words of The Internet.
Every text created by AI has one motivation: to group words into convenient boxes so the reader gets the popularly understood correct result from a limited large language pool of syntax.
That motivation, to classify, is in every communication made with AI. And it's completely inhumane.
If an office worker spends a half-an-hour crafting an email directly aimed at her co-workers to alert them of an upcoming staff meeting in a friendly manner, that email is received and interpreted with the friendliness in mind.
The author's intent is in every word wrote.
The same email made by AI by the same woman sends with it the intent that her co-workers weren't even worth the time to write them a simple friendly email.
It doesn't matter how eloquently AI mocks us... the feeling isn't there if the feeling isn't there.
Sincerity cannot be faked or emulated by artificial means. It is a step removed and literally literally impossible.
Readers who care about reading can feel when something is AI.
Really. Something just isn't quite right about the sentences. The 'Ghost' quality is missing. The personality and intent of the author isn't there.
A lot of the reason people read often is to feel closer to humanity. A machine isn't human, and a lover of reading can tell. Something felt is no longer there to be felt.
Just a poet setting down words every morning the way a musician warms up with scales. O/ I love writing. I hope that love comes through to you while you read.
For some reason I care about Life. The best way I know how to share that care is through writing.
Ask me why I write and the answer is the same as it was when I first learned how: I love to make sentences.
May some of my love for making these lines find you while you read.
Congratulations, again, for reading.
