For the Sake of Art and America

Gotcha. Another Wonder Fell Reader. Welcome to The Show.

If a sunrise is sometimes a beautiful thing to you, you're right at home.

With all the drama in front of us so often, so lately, we so rarely mention beauty, sincerity, wonder. Here's a prolific amount of mentioning. There's not much like this site readily available to people, so I keep it free.

The ways of artists are lacking from our popular understanding and value systems. "What is Art?" became a philosophic question, when it's really a simple one.

What drives an Artist is generosity. Our economics has little understanding or place for such acts of giving.

A person has a dream of an image, a story, a song... what a gift it is to their lives to see the world this way.

"If others could share these dreams I have, think of all the help and enrichment they'd receive."

And so The Artist goes to work to share symbols in sounds and lines to help any audience of their work live fuller lives by widening the perceptions of what's possible.

We all have dreams. Some are practical, some ambitious; but some are fantastical, illuminating, life-changing and visionary.

Getting those fantastical dreams into a shareable form is a process called Art.

There's no market for it because by its very nature it's one-of-a-kind. It may not pay your bills, but it just might save another's life experience. And so (and yet) we work.

Van Gogh didn't need to paint Starry Night to see it; we needed him to.

Tolkien didn't need to write The Lord of The Rings to witness a Hobbit save the world; we needed him to.

I'm certain Beethoven hummed his Moonlight Sonata to himself and The Moon before ever composing a note of it.

I'm glad he decided to share it.

All Art is an act of generosity.

It's not like Da Vinci lacked the know-how to run a successful business.

There's something in Artists, this great need to share their beautiful witness of Life, that's gone neglected.

This Charity of Dreams needs to be better recognized in America if we're to survive. Because an Artist's original witness is what feeds artificial intelligence.

Einstein's Theory of Relativity is a creative act. He used Science to paint his dreams.

Our whole Nation is based on the foundation of a dream of a few for many held in a document called: The Constitution. The United States is founded on a work of Art.

The spirit that made America paints every picture, pens every poem, and plays every note of every song.

It's also the antithesis of AI. Let's say that better: The Spirit of America is the antithesis of AI.

Freedom of and for original expression is our starting place and the incapability of a LLM.

So it is imperative we don't use AI to make our decisions, to help in our decision making certainly, but not to make our final choices.... for the sake of Art and America.
