August is an interesting month, holiday free. Summer simmers and dwindles, prepares for Fall.

Dawn announces the day. The Sun enters the studio, considers the canvas, sets down its coffee mug, and starts to paint the day.

Our World, so many data streams on so many screens, did we remember it's Beautiful?

So many of us do. What's that about?

How do we science Beauty?

Huh?

There's already so much on the site regarding The Beautiful. Good thing, too. It's literally my literal job to write about, and for, the experience of Beauty.

Tough gig since Artificial Intelligence reared its sterile head.

But someone has to remind us: There's more to life than adding it up; there's the joy of adding it up.

Something's new today, a Transition Day.

Algorithms and AI, filling a digital space with syntax, creating code to fish for it on demand, calling the shopping center an LLM, pretending Language can ever be a commodity, defining the process as fake intelligence.

Remember artificial also means fake. No wonder the world seems to have lost its mind: It literally is losing it.

The things we pretend video games can do! No wonder the news looks the way it does. Humanity's in the process of surrendering its greatest gift to video games.

I'm not okay with that.

So I write.

AI is an online superstore encyclopedia of a limited set of recorded thoughts. What's the expiration date on a flat Earth? LLM's can't evolve unless we do. And here we are surrendering our businesses to machines that can't, by their very nature, progress... wondering why nothing is improving.

Without people, good people, running our institutions there's literally no hope. For AI: Hope does not compute.

America is built on the conviction of freedom. A society running on computer codes and protocols is the antithesis of free.

Algorithms must be replaced with empathy soon or America won't last. Free thinkers, Dreamers, Visionaries be heard, be read, be free.

There are so many other topics I love to write about, but the house is burning down.
