Something new this morning: Analog sunrise.

Yesterday, I decided to bring the joy of writing on paper to the Wonder Fell experiment.

Today's Archaic Slab is truly archaic. Ink on a page.

At some point in every writer's career we wonder how much the materials of our craft matter to the output.

Laptop? PC? iPad? E-ink? Typewriter? Notebook? Cursive? SHOUTY CAPS?

After decades of writing sessions the answer found to which method is most effective is: Whatever is most comfortable.

Right now my mind wants the peace of paper, something a screen can't offer.

A blank screen is not blank. There's already writing there.

Thousands, if not millions, of words of code are necessary to make it appear.

With paper it's you and the tree and the ink needed to make the drawn lines or dots.

The whole process of writing on paper is much more personal. There's no need to pic a font. The font choice is: You.

Speed and the ability to quickly edit are the perks of a word processor.

There's more to life than speeding it up, though. Quality content requires consideration. Leave quick content to artificial intelligence. It's better at it.

What software can't do is convey a living experience. A singular living experience, that is.

All the unique emotional content weaved from the idiosyncratic dreams and thoughts of a on-of-a-kind person into words of witness an algorithm can never create.

Machines can't feel or dream. Seems an obvious thing to state, but it's a dire reminder.

The act of writing, of making words at all, is a means to share ourselves and our experience of the world with the world.

Words are our greatest means of measure. Without which Science, Religion, Art, Politics, and Leisure are exercises for animals.

So let's remember to keep creating language so we don't turn back into monkeys.

Funny, but true.

AI will make apes out of us all if we let it.

All you have to do is see this truth is checkout some of the most popular social media sites and the posts being made with AI words and videos right now. (Video, by the way, is a bunch of lines of code online, also known as words.)

Please don't be a monkey.

Choose your own words.

Using AI to craft your communications is like picking up a banana and throwing it at your forest monkey mate to get their attention. If there's no thoughtful consideration in the words from the sender, it's the same act.

You're all worth more to me than chucking a banana at.

People's individual experience shared is what makes evolution happen. Changing what a word, phrase, or story can mean; or creating a new word is always the precursor to evolution.

Recognizing the possibility of growth with an act of language creation is always the first step towards growth.

Words of Science tabulate what's here already to share. Words of Art relate what is felt and dreamed so we can all have the opportunity to share it.

TL;DR: Don't be an AI monkey junkie. Share your dreams and emotions with the World.

Good morning, Twfw. O/ Again

Again, because I already wrote with the sunrise on analog a short time ago.

But as I began to start the process of entering it onto the website, questions occurred.

How's is this, writing on an e-ink tablet, different from pen and ink in practice?

Wouldn't a great way to find out be to go over, pick up the usual tablet and start the process over again during the same sunrise?

Only one way to find out... O/

Here we go, on with our show...

As wrote before, it comes down to comfort.

The conveniences of a tablet of this nature far exceed those of paper for professional writers.

I enjoy typing, but perhaps the difference between handwriting and typewriting is like the difference between a guitar and a piano.

They can both play the same song, say the same thing, but the sound and the experience of playing it are vastly different.

And so an analogy about how every person is a unique instrument sounding and shaping a song called language.

Some people, known as Artists, use the living story of language to update the story itself.

Science calls evidence of the process evolution. Our words always grow before we do.

Recognition of a process of Nature is called Science. Recognition of a process of humanity is called Art.

Both involve creating new language, shapes, and symbols to classify a living phenomenon.

Just like in a story the World changes as the Hero does, so is the way of humanity.

Our emphasis for quite some time has been to change the physical world to change ourselves. But stories and Life don't work that way.

The saying: "History repeats itself," is evidence we still haven't learned this basic truth.

When we grow our understanding of the human experience the World around us changes to match.

The same way it does in stories. It's why they work. they show us how Life actually operates.

The planet is a living thing. It responds to our behavior and grows to match and work with it.

Our Science is often narrow-minded calling a product of Nature a fact when a better word is: symptom.

Pollution, rising ocean levels, and wildfires are all symptoms of humanity's lack of personal artistic responsibility.

But, a well-kept garden, a clean city street, a recycling program, green energy initiatives, and clean drinking water are empirical evidence of people making good choices. The World agrees and reflects the sound choice.

When we help our living home we help ourselves. Turns out the best way to do that is to help ourselves first: By being better people.
