Good morning, The Wonder Fell Way. O/

Hola. Hi. Pick a language hello. Let's go! Happy day great blue skies above. Thanks for joining me.

On with our show...

Autumn arrives, a technicolor light show in New England. Fall foliage is a slow tree horizon line's reflection of an Aurora Borealis.

If color is music for the eyes, Autumn is Mother Nature's symphony surprise.

Speaking of trees, it's good to be back to my roots making metaphors match living experience in new helpful ways. Political poetry has its place, but it's a short step away from theatre. (We spell theatre with the e and the r switched around in The States. I prefer the r before the e aesthetically, and poetry is also about looks so there it is. I also spell color with an 'e' at the end, but that's a different story in the works.)

The sentence and the stanza are my favorite stage, so much more lasting connection can be made here.

Words read and received right can change a person's whole life. A great film gives a better few days.

Great Theatre helps us not feel so alone with the World. Great Literature helps us not feel so alone with ourselves.

Both are necessary for a healthy society, but the latter creates the former. Every great film or show starts with a script.

Perhaps the most valuable gift AI gives us is a reminder of what it means to be human.

Because so many of us forgot or were never told.

It's not that a story can change a life; it's that story is the only way to change Life.

Words are not facts; words make facts possible. Science is a story, as much a tale as what used to be shared around campfires thousands of years ago, a record of the habits and consistent ways of Life.

Words do more than measure and evaluate; they create. In fact, every measurement and evaluation is first a creation.

What makes us human is our need to create. Making something new is the best use of our humanity. Happiness is found in the act of new creation.

The impulse to make Art is in all of us. Every Scientific Theory is created in its spirit.

Every adjustment to a daily schedule, anytime we make a new choice, choose a new way; there it is at work and play.

The force that drives Artistic Creation is Evolution at work behind the scenes. "Make it new!" Life calls to us because Life itself, like every rose, tree, cat, dog, fish in the sea, and you and me, is growing. The World is quite literally alive. We are agents to move Life forward. All our counting made us forget.

Make a change. Actively make one thing in your day better today. You'll feel great when you do.

Why?

Because you're helping Life out. You're (let's get dull scientific language involved) fulfilling your evolutionary function.

Part of this poet's evolutionary function is to keep wonder alive in our language.

And so I write.

Thanks for joining me.

And: Congratulations, again, for reading.

A poem for today as Autumn rolls in: The Firs.
