"MEDIA DIET CRISIS: Poet-Essayist Declares "All Reading Is Resurrection" — A Viral-Ready Call for Americans to Change the Channel, Reframe AI, and Flood Feeds With Heroism Over Tragedy" -AI's Summary
Monday, July 20, 2026
Good morning, Twfw. O/
Back to peace and poesy, whims with the sunrise.
Comfortable cool Summer in New England weather. The blooms are full. Mother Nature shows off and sets the thermostat for optimal viewing.
A website dedicated to current events. What's more current than the sunrise? Always new, always beautiful, always worth our wonder.
"It's just a ball of gaseous fire sparked to light when a rather Big Bang happened a long time ago."
-A Scientist
"Our language can do better than that."
-This Poet
But this morning the conversations on language, on AI, on the circus show called News, give way to the good oldest fashioned sense of just being alive and feeling well enough to enjoy the sunshine.
All the dramas we go through in a day just for a moment's peace to feel good about being alive...
Sometimes it helps to remove the expectations of others and just sit and consider the evergreens.
Who are they trying to impress being so impressive? A tree's life is one long dance to The Sun.
I believe ours is too. I'd write a poem about it, but this is a better way to have you read it.
...
Beauty, Joy, Hope, Good Living, why so absent from our screens?
All text works like this:
A symphony of Mozart's is just a dead man's lines and dots on a page unless a musician plays it and bring brings the sounds back to life.
A sentence is just scrawls and blips on a page or screen unless a reader brings the words to life.
All reading is an act of resurrection.
And right now News of tragedy sells best.
America, if you want to save the Country, change the damn channel.
There are plenty of acts of goodwill and heroism happening in our Nation right now.
Read about them. Watch them. Talk about them.
Stop blaming AI; it just gives us what's popular.
"Good morning Grok, tell me the News of the Day."
- Person Who Doesn't Understand Personal Responsibility
"Good morning Grok, tell me the Good News of the Day."
-Person Who Does
Imagine if every water cooler conversation in every corporation in America discussed only stories of heroism for a year.
It's how we heal. Change the channel; emphasize what's best about us.
It's not about ignoring tragedies. It's about ending them. What we feed grows.
Writers, artists of all kinds, our world needs an option to the turmoil. Get making. Images and words of hope and heroism are the path to healing.
Off to make some more.
Artists and good people, I hope you'll join me.
Thanks for reading.
