A Gentle Persistence

Good morning, Twfw. O/

A strong Autumn wind shakes the green oaks not ready for Fall. A soft sunrise still beautiful in its subtlety. A slow delicate dance of sunlight while the wind ravishes the foliage.

Like the message of this journal lately, so goes this morning's weather.

How to tell America the reason for its unease right now is because our Press is no longer free and be taken seriously?

Classification software is machine washing our thinking.

A ranting and raving lunatic poet is easy profiling, easily dismissed.

A gentle persistence is needed.

Like a pianist who practiced and played great works everyday for three decades only because they loved the sound of the keys, and so never sought a recording contract; I write everyday.

I decided to share this music years ago and ran into a wall most don't know exists.

The process is called shadow-banning. There's plenty about it in other entries here already.

A pro-American anti-racist poem of mine I published on Medium.com caused my account to be banned without me being told it was.

The issue here is access.

If an outside party that's not a free citizen like a dictator, a monarch, or a machine decides what's worth reading and what we actually get to see, then the Press is no longer free. Period.

And so, as technologically savvy as they may be, algorithms are not free citizens. And here we are with our media (press) stuck in an algorithmic holding pattern.

All good Americans wonder what's up with the state of Our Country. The answer isn't our politicians have lost their minds. The truth is Our Press in no longer free.

Even The Public starts to talk like the classification machines in charge of media distribution...

Classes: The Democrats! The Republicans! The Rich! The Poor! Fascism. Communism. Socialism. Liberals. Conservatives.... class, class, class.

One free person at a time or it's not America.

But I've been harping about that for months now waiting for this algorithmic wall to break so I can tell other free citizens our press freedom is gone.

And this is the best way to do it. This site is free and interesting enough for many to enjoy reading. It's been well-advertised on every major social media (press) site for years without a single reply, like, troll, or heart from an American with new posts every single day.

How have you not been able to read this? That is the question every American who values freedom has to ask to see the severity of what's going on.

I don't cater to algorithms. Well, I didn't. I recently started coaxing the system BlueSky has because their heart is in the right human place.

Soon a concerned person reads this site and shares its truth. Until that time I write in a press-less peace and listen to the wind whip around light specks of rain.

Congratulations, again, for reading.
