*But there are also the things that stay.*

You and I we’re gonna fly,  
But there are also the things that stay.  
Not a bird, not a tree, not a butterfly,  
But there are also the things that stay.

A child makes a man.  
A child goes away.  
But there are also things,  
So many, many, many things that stay.

Not like plastic pens, but poetry.  
Not pixels, but binary light.  
Not the singer, the sound of a song.  
Not the notes, the potential for music.

The possibility   
To know   
Each other   
Stays.

*What words can say does stay.*

My   
words went wasted 

On   
Breath.

My   
words were in

The   
Air.

Now 

My   
words are 

The   
Air.

And I   
Am every

Where!

We say we live.   
We say we die.

*But there are also the things that stay.*
