O/ That Sunday before the Sunday we turn the clocks back; the Sun sleeps in. I'm glad you found me. There's lots to discuss. Who am I? What's Wonder Fell all about? Right now the answer to both those questions is the same. Some people are plumbers, electricians, corporate execs, waiters, teachers, doctors, lawyers, politicians; I am a poet. As in: It's my job. I discovered years ago, because of the algorithmic means of Internet adjudication, online is not a safe place for the work I do. I decided to do something about it. A quick synopsis; there's already plenty of personal stuff[ here](https://www.wonderfell.org/tag/personal/). Soon after I fought a chronic autoimmune condition into remission and reclaimed my life, I started a small publication on medium.com to showcase my work. At first, the response was positive and somewhat encouraging. In the span of a few months, I already had near a thousand followers. One of the largest publications on the platform reached out to me to re-publish one of my articles. Good news. I decided to publish a more socially aware poem, [The 51st State](https://www.wonderfell.org/the-51st-state/). The day after I posted it I was shadow-banned from medium.com. At that time I didn't know practices like shadow-banning even existed. My thoughts tell me most people still don't know it's possible, let alone what it is. When someone is shadow-banned it means that person can read everyone else's words on a site, but no one can read theirs. A publication should have the ability to refuse what's placed on their site, but a formal act of refusal legally and ethically needs to occur. There was no contact from Medium to me regarding the ban. The whole site was simply muted to my existence. Why? For sharing words of inspiration, freedom, and goodwill for a Country I care about. But, because the syntax and ideas were new, they were mistranslated by the corporate algorithms in place. No sane American reads [The 51st State](https://www.wonderfell.org/the-51st-state/) and believes it's trying to cause trouble. Just the opposite. The issue here isn't racism; it's control of our Press. It's no longer in the hands of free citizens. A Scientific algorithm is no different than a Church algorithm in the eyes of The Constitution. The free press is what free people believe is worth sharing, not what an algorithm says is okay for us to read. I have some words I feel might really help America. I can't get them to you because of the way The Internet is classifying our Press distribution. One poem wasn't enough. Two years of daily pertinent posts with time on all the major social media platforms not catered to algorithms without a single clap, thumbs up, heart, troll, or reply from an American until I started playing the social media high school popularity contest algorithms is proof enough. Not to float my own boat, but to make a point: I predicted The White House throwing The Press, The Free Press, out months before it happened. I shared about it many times on BlueSky and other sites without a single view from an American because I didn't get permission from an algorithm. "If you're not going to play by a corporation's rules, you're not going to be seen." Is not how a Free Press works. So why's that business as usual in America right now?
