# Something Great, Something Necessary, Something Very Real

Good morning, Twfw. O/

Can you make a sentence?  
Can you bring a dream to life?

Every heartbeat, heartache, romance, friendship, joy, sunrise and set is a part of every word I write. My life lives in each syllable. 

Just like you.

All the dreams I ever held write every word.

Just like you.

Lately, we talk in Science and Math, in shared dreams of the consistency of The Universe.

What about the dream of you? What are you? A fleshy meat suit?

Why sometimes at night alone, or driving solo, do you still dream of flying on the back of a dragon?

What a waste of your scientific meat suit time.

But that flight of fantasy fills your night and day... with what?

Something great, something necessary, something very real that our math can't measure. And so we're back to doing the best Poetry can do to share and shape the powers of language.

There are moments in every life, tiny bursts of one-of-a-kind revelations each of us has. The more aware we are of them the more we recognize them. 

Some value the importance of those moments and seek ways to share their unique understandings. We call these people: Artists.

But all language creation from a person is an act of Art.

We use symbols and sounds to express... what?

What do you express when you shape a sentence, say a word?

You.

We adjust our understanding of words to better know and express ourselves.

I write about this topic now instead of magical epic stories of dragons and fantasy because words themselves are under fire from video creators.

Their intentions are good, but their enthusiasm and our growing dependencies on their machines puts humanity at risk of sacrificing our greatest skill to a video game.

Being able to create language is the only thing that separates us from monkeys. Do you want to be an ape playing video games? Or a human crafting dreams into shareable symbols?

AI is a helpful tool for organizing and referencing recorded words.

Nothing more than that.

An AI bot writes a sentence; Link rescues Princess Zelda.

They are the same activity.

Life is absent in both.

America has a choice to make right now: Do we want to be free people playing video games or a Nation of video games playing free people?

For the past decade we've been the latter.

Our Press distribution and how we talk to each other are proof of that claim.

America is not The Liberals, The Conservatives, The Rich, The Blacks, The Whites, The Socialists, The Fascists... we are one free citizen at a time.

Everything else is a job class for a role playing video game called an algorithm.
