How's the rub? The quality of dreams?

A theme and motto mission statement of sorts for this site: 

*There's more to life than adding it up; there's the joy of adding it up.*

What's up with Joy?

If Scientists didn't enjoy their work, I'd be out of a job and all language could be replaced with math and computer code.

The power of story and Art to make us feel is proof AI is not enough.

Artists let's not take it personally. The empirical world's been leaving us out for centuries.

Now that most measuring is on auto-pilot through machines, the scientific minded will wander into our house.

Let's be gracious hosts. O/

All Life is a constant act of creation. Creative people always live the fullest most satisfying lives.

We're creation machines, make-it-new manifestors of our own stories.

The quickest way to feel good is to make something new.

Just like every leaf on every oak since the dawn of time is a form and expression of an oak leaf, so every word uttered or wrote by a living human is new.

AI writes like King Koopa drives a car in Mario Kart. 

Does the overgrown shelled monarch actually drive?

No, it's just some bits and bytes of pixel light arranged to look like a mythic turtle king is off to the races.

What's remarkable are the actions of the software game designers that imagined the image and made language to make it appear.

A group of scientific minded coders created a video game to arrange language and have it search the Internet for us.

Perhaps you've played it? It's called AI.

Our personal shopper for Internet searching.

Even if a Data Center was to capture all the language and imagery in the World it would be outdated the second it was through.

The function of humanity, and what language is for, is to make everything new.

Language, including the images of Art, are The Software of Humanity.

Creative acts update the software for the same reasons our PCs and phones need updates.

If you haven't updated your computer in ten years, chances are it's not doing you much good. 

The same algorithmic video games have had the American Press in a holding pattern for at least a decade.

The quality of information hasn't been able to be updated in over a decade.

Language updates in real time. AI lags in the immediate past.

A brilliant invention, but it's not alive and so has no place in deciding what is new; it's called News for a reason.

The living must create it and the living must share it.
