Good morning, Twfw. O/

Autumn approaches.
Colors change.
Seeds fall.

Thanks for joining me.

Welcome to: A few hundred well-written by living hands words a lot of good people would like to read everyday, but can't because of the way the Internet is set up.

For over two years, I share new original words of hope, encouragement, intelligence, and joy in the Internet's most popular places every single morning. I don't cater to algorithms on purpose. We all have to see the reality of the state of our language if we're going to heal.

The metrics and means used to distribute our media are inhumane. We look at the News everyday and wonder if everyone's lost their minds.

But people haven't lost their minds; we've surrendered our Press to machines.

There's very little of what's human in the News stories each day because people aren't deciding what you might like to read: machines are.

An algorithm can't measure hope, and hope is what is lacking from the modern Internet's way of sharing information.

Hell isn't other people; it's a world full of hopeless stories.

Hope can't rank as a metric to consider because hope is always something new. Hope is always in the present tense.

Sorry, my fellow nerds, even a nano-second ago is still in the past.

What's lacking from modern media is *right now*. Our News is literally no longer new. We're looping in the same algorithmic patterns wondering why nothing is changing or getting better.

Because without hope nothing can.

Hope is an attribute for and from the living. Machines estimate and weigh what happened, never what is happening.

AI is wonderful and potentially helpful technology, but it needs to be used in ways to help humanity and not only to further our dependency on it.

Language is for the living, something we make. Artificial Intelligence organizes dead words, gift wraps, and redistributes them.

The only life available in what AI delivers is the cleverness of the design teams that created the software.

When we ask AI to make a story for us what we get is the result of a roomful of coders very skilled at Internet searches pulling and plucking what they believe a good story looks like according to the pool of information they searched in.

A programmer's pride is the only living force available in the words of AI.

Unlike on Wonder Fell, where a poet's humility rules. O/

Language, and that means text, is always a living thing. Words aren't facts; words make facts possible. There's more than what Science can do in our alphabet. There's Wonder! There's Hope! There's Love and Life Alive!

Let's thank The Tech Community for helping us make Internet searching and sharing easier and more useful and get back to the business of being human.

[Congratulations, again, for reading](https://www.wonderfell.org/congratulations-for-reading/).
